![]() ![]() I just really like that this program exists, having read about all the dangers of not moving/sitting all day. My apologies if this sounds like a sales pitch/spammy. One of the coolest parts about it, however, is you can earn gift cards once you reach different levels with your health miles. It will also integrate with fitbits, misfits and Polar products. The default daily goal is 7000 steps, I believe. Virgin Pulse does have data glitches from time to time (every 2 months approx) where points do not load. It encourages adoption and the majority of people I know who participate in VP use the app. Earn enough steps/activities and you'll earn health miles, which help you "level up." It offers some fun challenges occasionally too - "get x amount of sleep this week," "take x amount of steps this week and you'll earn this many health miles," etc. Virgin Pulses app is convenient, user friendly and provides an incentive to use vs the desktop version. Basically, you're given a pedometer, called a Max (for free) and it tracks your steps (plus you can tell it you've completed other activities online) and will also let you track measurements. It's meant to encourage employees to be more active, happy and healthy. I was curious if anyone else had heard of this? I work in a corporate environment and I think it's a pretty cool little idea.
